Two hardcore criminals were arrested by a team of Link Road cops after an exchange of fire from near Sulabh Shauchalaya, Gate No 1 at Sahibabad Mandi. The robbers had come to the area with an intention to commit a big loot from a trader before they were intercepted by a police party acting on a tip-off. The information was shared by CO Sahibabad, Dr Rakesh Kumar Mishra.

The 2 accused are Ravi Kumar, a resident of Shahid Nagar in Ghaziabad and Tarachand alias Rahul, a resident of Seemapuri, Delhi. Tarachand disclosed that he had been committing loot since the last 6 years in Delhi, NCR cities upon which more than 2 dozen criminal cases were registered against his name. The accused had looted a bike at Dasna toll plaza on September 12. The duo had planned to strike it big before they were arrested.

One country-made pistol and 2 lice cartridges were seized. One stolen Apache RTR bike No DL8SAS 8515 and one knife were seized from their possession.

There is a long list of crime that is associated with the accused committed across Delhi-NCR leading to 25 cases registered against them at various police stations.
