The Foundation Stone for 9th project of The IndianOil Foundation of Development of Infrastructure Facilities at Khajekhalan Ghat, Patna was laid on Nov. 4 by Sushil Kumar Modi, Dy. CM, Bihar in august presence of Nand Kishore Yadav, Minister for Road Construction, Bihar, Suresh Kumar Sharma, Minister for Urban Development and Housing, Bihar, Sita Sahu, Mayor, Patna and various other dignitaries.

Being built at an approved cost of Rs. 30 crore, the unique feature for this project is installation of LPG based crematorium curbing air pollution promoting environment protection,inter-alia, various other facilities like embankment of Ganga river bank, creation of bathing ghats with protection railings, development of road nearby Ghat, provision of 21 bathrooms and toilet blocks & 6 nos changing rooms for gents and ladies, sitting & viewing platforms, development of covered podium for crematorium during rainy season, landscaping & greenery with tree plantation, power backup facility etc.

The construction job has started in Sept 2018 and is expected to be completed by Sept 2019.
