A total of 7 accused were apprehended by Sant Kabir Nagar Police for a loot that was committed by threatening victims with a fake revolver. On October 15 on NH under Kante Police Outpost unknown accused had looted a pick-up van of Manoj Kumar Sahney of thousands of chicks he was ferrying. Thereafter, SP Akash Tomar had assigned the case to incharge of Khalilabad Police Station as well as SWAT Team & Surveillance Cell incharge.
The police team rounded up 5 accused Deepak Vishwakarma, Shashank Pal, Deepu Singh, Amresh Pal and Ankur Pandey along with a Hyundai i 10 car and one fake revolver (that resembled a real one). At their instance the police team rounded up the other 2 accused namely Usman and Akash Pal. The police seized 8,019 chicks from the accused. Five mobile phones were also seized.
The accused told the police that they were engaged in exporting chicks and chick food but had lately suffered losses as many of their chicks had died,, due to which they were under severe debt and hence planned the loot.
