Twenty-eight women who are natives of Nepal were rescued by a team of Indirapuram Police Station from 2 flats in Abhay Khand, Indirapuram after information was received from Nepali natives in Delhi about the presnece of these women. According to information shared by SSP Vaibhav Krishna the women are in the age group of 21-45 years and were lured with offer of working in gulf countries. The SSP said that till now no proof of any sexual assault has come to light and the women had come of their own accord. Five people have so far been detained in this regard. Prima facie the police suspects there could be more to the incident that meets the eye such as human traffic angle. Further investigations are on.
