Urban Development Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Suresh Kumar Khanna visited Ghaziabad on October 10 to take stock of various developmental works undertaken by civic agencies and the police. The minister inaugurated a Pink Toilet meant for women users at Turab Nagar Market under Swachh Bharat Mission. This is the 3rd such toilet built by Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam (GNN). On the occasion Mayor Asha Sharma and Municipal Commissioner, Chandra Prakash Singh were also present.

The minister also flagged off 25 vehicles meant for door-to-door garbage collection. He also spoke about the political training centre that would be coming up in the city at Raj Nagar Extension that had been given the green signal by the state government. Khanna said the centre would train youth in politics and due to the centre’s proximity to Delhi the students would also get good exposure from national and international experts.

All MLAs of Ghaziabad and senior officials of the GNN were also present during the minister’s visit.
