Two wanted criminals and accused in the murder of priest of Narmdeshwar Temple in Ghaziabad almost a year ago were arrested late-night on September 10 by a team of Kavi Nagar Thana cops from near ALT Bus stop near Sanjay Nagar. Both carried a reward of Rs 25,000 each on their heads.  Both were found to be roaming in the area in a suspicious manner. One of their accomplices had been arrested by the police some time back.

According to SSP Vaibhav Krishna the accused Ashok Giri and Avadh Ram had murdered the temple priest under Sihani Gate Police Station area and had looted cash and ornaments. Both were on the run since then and Gangsters Act was slapped on them. A police team comprising SHO Pradeep Kumar Tripathi, SI Ram Kumar Kuntal and other cops arrested the duo.
