Ghaziabad Police solved a ‘fake’ loot case that allegedly happened on September 8, wherein the victim turned out to be the mastermind of the loot himself. It might be recalled that a youth Shivam had reported a loot case at Loni’s Banthla-Chirori Nahar road near Sikrani village. The accused had said in the police complaint at Loni Police Station, that he was looted of cash worth Rs 4 lakh that he had taken from his uncle, while he was returning in a Fortuner vehicle. In reality Shivam had handed over the said amount to one of his friends to siphon off the money that his uncle had given him and which he owed to his father. Shivam also led his friends into believing that he had received the money through a committee and that he would take the money back when he returned from a tour.
A team of Loni Police Station cracked the fake loot case and arrested Shivam from his home in Noida under Sections 420/406/193/411 of IPC.
