Six chain snatching cases have been solved after the arrest of a notorious snatcher and robber from Ramleela Ground of Sahibabad area, it was informed by SP City, Akash Tomar. The accused Shiva, a resident of Muradnagar, who had committed several offences in Delhi-NCR told the police that he and his accomplice Ravi had committed a chain snatching offence in which pulled a gold chain worn by a woman on June 27. A case in this regard had been earlier filed at Sahibabad Police Station. Again on June 30 the accused alone committed a similar offence at Shalimar Garden area. On July 7 and July 31 the accused had targeted 2 senior citizens and looted the gold chains they were wearing from Shalimar City and 8o-ft-wide road areas.

The accused had repeated the offence on August 7 when he snatched a gold chain of a woman from near Krishna Pride School in Sahibabad area. The police was on the lookout for him.

One bike, one mobile phone and one knife has been recovered from his possession. He was arrested by a police team comprising SI Saurabh Shukla, SI Arun Kumar Mishra and SI Anurag Singh, among other cops.
