Municipal Commissioner, Chandra Prakash Singh today at around 8 am visited Vasundhara Zone and inspected the cleaning work of roads and dividers. He started by inspecting the roads of Sectors 1, 2, 5, 9 and 13. Municipal Commissioner was appalled to see the lack of cleanliness and asked the Addl. Municipal Commissioner, RN Pandey, Zonal Chief, Sunil Rai and SFI Yogendra Yadav to inspect the zone in the morning hours and spruce up the area roads and sideways.



He also found the road leading to DPS in Sector 9 littered and warned the SFI to maintain cleanliness or else face action. Next Singh visited Kaushambi area where potholes were found all over the Mother Dairy road upon which the Municipal Commissioner instructed the Chief Engineer then & there to get them repaired.

Also, near Vaishali Income Tax building the ongoing work of the drain was found to be very slow upon which he directed the Chief Engineer to get the pending work completed at the earliest otherwise the contractor would not be paid his dues.

Singh also visited Nandgram area under City Zone where he went to Scholar Education & Welfare Trust, Rotary Club of New Ghaziabad where under the polythene-free campaign he flagged off a rally of students and teachers. They were also administered an oath- not to use polythene. Various RWAs, zonal chief and other Nigam officials and employees were also present.

Upon seeing a number of posters of a coaching institute at Arya Nagar Intersection, he asked the officials to issue notice to the owner and impose penalty on him. reporter
