A thief who used to steal items from the bags in busy markets/metro stations has been arrested with the help of a lady.  The name of the accused person is Manish Kumar, age 25 years, resident of Trilok Puri, as per information received from office of Pankaj Kumar Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police, East District, Delhi.     

On July 9, a PCR call was received regarding apprehension of a thief at weekly Monday Market, Acharya Niketan, Delhi. The cops reached at the spot where complainant Prachi Tanwar, age 22 years, handed over alleged Manish Kumar to the IO.  She stated that the accused was trying to steal items from her bag and she caught him. Immediately, a case was registered at Police Station Pandav Nagar. The accused was previously involved in a theft case at Yamuna Bank Depot Metro, Police Station.

The accused is a school dropout and studied upto 9th class in a school at Delhi. He is a smack/liquor addict and involved in the crime to fulfill his addiction. Further investigation is on.
