A team of police station Dwarka North, Dwarka District arrested two desperate autolifters namely Pankaj alias Lala and Nitin and recovered two stolen bikes & one stolen scooty from them. With the arrest of accused persons total four cases have been solved.
On May 13 at about 9 pm, ASI Virender, constables Sunil & Parveen were performing picket duty at Sector-14 Metro Station, Dwarka when they noticed two persons on a scooty coming from Kakrola Side towards them. After seeing the police party, they left the scooty on the spot and tried to escape but were overpowered by the alert picket staff after a brief struggle. On verification, the scooty was found stolen from the area of police station Najafgarh, Dwarka District. Later on, the culprits were identified as Pankaj and Nitin.
One country made loaded pistol from Nitin and one live cartridge from Pankaj have been recovered. Upon this, a case was registered in police station Dwarka North under relevant sections of law and investigation was taken up. During sustained interrogation, it was revealed that accused Pankaj is previously involved in 5 cases of Arms Act, snatching and theft and Nitin also is previously involved in 5 cases of robbery and theft of different police stations of Delhi.
During further interrogation, two motorcycles bearing No. HR-26-AS-3476 & DL-4S-BU-6594, stolen from the areas of police stations of Najafgarh and Rajouri Garden respectively have also been recovered.
