Setting a new example on the occasion of Chief Minister, Manohar Lal’s birthday today, the Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister, Vipul Goel honoured meritorious students of 27 government schools of Faridabad Assembly Constituency with mementos received by him during his tenure. The students bagging first, second and third positions were also given cash prizes of Rs 3,100, Rs 2,100 and 1,100, respectively.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister also interacted with students through video conferencing. The children also cut a 65 kg cake and wished him a very happy birthday. Praying for the better future of the children, the Chief Minister appreciated this step of Vipul Goel. Speaking on the occasion, Goel said that Antyodaya is the vision of the Chief Minister and it would only be possible when students at government schools would also receive equal facilities and opportunities. He said that it would be his target to make schools in Faridabad Assembly Constituency number one in terms of employment oriented education and facilities. He said that these schools would give tough competition to private schools in future. These mementos would inspire these children and there could be no better use of these mementos than this, he added.

It may be recalled that Goel had auctioned his mementos and gifts at Surajkund in district Faridabad on January 14 this year in which various industrial organisations and other institutions of Haryana, Delhi and other states participated. The draft of Rs 2.52 crore raised through auction were received on the name of Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund and was donated for ‘Namami Gange’ Project.
