Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar inaugurated the innovation and start-up hub of HARTRON set up with the assistance of NASSCOM in village Dundahera of district Gurugram. As many as six centres would be started in this hub and these would also be linked with incubation centres set up in the state universities. Apart from this, the start-ups working in this hub would be linked with Saksham portal.
The United Nations Technology and Innovation Lab would soon be set up in this hub. This start-up warehouse has been set up under the scheme of NASSCOM to open 10,000 startup warehouses in the country. The startup hub of Gurugram equipped with latest facilities would be first-of-its kind in the country.
The Chief Minister said that this hub would also have the facility of micro finance startup and skill upgrade where besides upgrading the skills of the startups, they would be provided guidance for getting financial assistance to start their own business. He said that facilities like IAMAI Mobile 10X Start-up (Mobile Application Development Centre), Centre of Excellence for Internet of Things (CoE-IoT), Skill Training for Persons with Disabilities and Skill Training under Solar Mission and Information Technology and Information Technology enabled Services (IT/ITeS) have also been made available in this startup hub.
He said that the state government is working on a model where the youth would become a job giver instead of job seeker. He said that the startups would guide the youth registered on the Saksham portal about the kind of training, they should get according to their qualification so that they could get employment opportunities or start their own business. This would benefit about 45,000 unemployed youth registered under the Saksham scheme, he added.
The Chief Minister said that in the present era of information technology, Haryana is fast moving on the path of development. He said that as a result of information technology, the world has limited to a global village. While appreciating the work of HARTRON, he said that this innovation and start-up hub would prove to be very useful for the youth as our youth has a high demographic dividend. They are innovative, entrepreneur and have talent and zeal to perform better, he added. He hoped that this hub would prove to be effective in supplementing the efforts of the state government to assist the youth in starting technology business and assured all support and cooperation of his government in this endeavour.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also appreciated the organisation namely Sarthak, working for the cause of physically challenged persons, for starting various courses in this hub. He said that this would help them bringing into the mainstream of the society.
