Ghaziabad MP and Union Minister, Gen. VK Singh (retd) on occasion of 127th Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti today (April 14), kicked off the Gram Swaraj Abhiyan from April 14 to May 5, at Village Matiyala at Razapur block, Singh said that the aim of this mission was to see that all welfare schemes of the Centre and the state government should reach the intended beneficiaries. He said for this camps are being organised in villages so that people can be sensitized and avail of the benefits of various schemes.

On the occasion under Saubhagya Yojana LED bulbs and new electricity connections were distributed to people. SBI bank accounts of eligible people under Jan Dhan Yojana were also opened. Social welfare Dept. carried out registrations of eligible persons under Old Woman Pension scheme.

On the occasion, District Magistrate, Ritu Maheshwari said that Village Matiyala is among those villages in Ghaziabad where benefits of government schemes such as Saubhagya, Ujjawala, Ration Card, Bank Ac among other schemes are being provided to every eligible person. CDO Ramesh Ranjan also shared information about the progress of various projects.
