Haryana Govt. has approved a proposal for upgradation of the iconic Nahar Singh Stadium in Faridabad at a total cost of Rs 106 crore. The aim is to convert the stadium into an international level one. The stadium is proposed to have world-class flood lights too, so that day & night cricket matches could be played here. Further, the stadium will have a seating space for 50,000 spectators.

The Nahar Singh Stadium was set up in 1981 after Raja Nahar Singh, a freedom fighter. The stadium is located at NIT area and has a capacity for 16,000 spectators.

The Municipal Corporation of Faridabad officials have started preparations for upgradation of the stadium into a state-of-the art one.
