Salman Khan was convicted today for a total of 5-year-jail term in black buck poaching case that dates back to 1998. Salman Khan reportedly broke down after the verdict was pronounced by the Jodhpur trial court. The court also levied a penalty of Rs 10,000 on him. Salman Khan was accused of killing 2 black bucks in 1998,an endangered species. Others facing trial comprising yesteryear actress Neelam, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Sailf Ali Khan were acquitted by the court. Teh actor has pleaded not guilty to killing the blackbucks. After his conviction his team of lawyers are trying to secure bail for the actor.
Meanwhile, he has been taken to the Jodhpur Central Jail.
