District administration, Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) and Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam (GNN) jointly claimed to have identified land for the development of a solid waste management plant. One parcel of land identified of 35 acre is located at Galand while the other is at Village Mohammadpur Amad at Modinagar- totalling 21 acre.

For the project UP Jal Nigam has contracted another firm for the DPR while the Jal Nigam will carry out the work.
