Devotees of the Sant Nirankari Mission will celebrate Guru Puja Diwas on February 23 and pay tributes to Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj on his 64th Birth Anniversary in congregations at every branch throughout the country.
On February 24, a countrywide cleanliness and tree plantation drive will be organized under the auspices of the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation. This year the campaign will focus on the cleanliness of the compounds and parks of 264 Government Hospitals.
In Delhi, the hospitals to be covered include: Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital; Safdarjung Hospital; Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital; Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital; Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital; Dr. Hedgewar Aarogya Sansthan; Lady Harding Hospital; National Institute of TB and Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital.
Where there is no hospital or dispensary, the emphasis will be on the cleanliness of parks and Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawans along with tree plantation. Various branches of the Mission have adopted the parks nearby their Satsang Bhawans for regular development and beautification. All the new trees planted by devotees will be looked after for one year.
At every centre, volunteers of the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation and members of the Sewadal will come in their respective uniforms. They will be accompanied by other devotees. All will assemble at a point at 7.30 a.m. and spread out for the campaign after Sumiran and prayer. The campaign will continue up to 12:00 Noon.
It may be recalled that cleanliness and tree plantation drives on Guru Puja Diwas have been going on since 2003. From 2010, the campaign has been carried out by the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation. Various historic monuments, beaches and river banks, hospitals, railway stations and public places have been focused in particular from time to time.
