District Magistrate (DM) and Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) Vice Chairman, Ritu Maheshwari reviewed progress of various developmental works such as Metro alignment, water supply, establishment of health facilities, college in Village Mirpur Hindu, bridge over Hindon at Loni area and a host of other issues pertaining to the district. Top officials of the district participated in the meeting.
An official of the GDA apprised Maheshwari about the DPR of the Metro from Noida’s Sector 62 via Indirapuram to Vaishali and from Vaishali to Mohan Nagar, that will be presented in 2 days time by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation or DMRC. It was also informed that for ongoing work of Metro between Dilshad Garden and Naya Buss Adda almost Rs 720-91 cr have been given to DMRC so far and in this month itself the UP Avas Vikas has given an amount of Rs 80 cr towards Metro connectivity.
Chief Development Officer (CDO), Ramesh Ranjan apprised that the health dept. has sent information about the 50 bed hospital in Loni. He further said that for the maternity wing in Vijay Nagar land is required. For that the DM asked the Municipal Commissioner, CP Singh to make land available, which he said would be done.
On NH-58 widening a PWD official informed that an estimate for inter-state connectivity (stretch) has been prepared and will be sent to the government soon.
A host of other proposals and progress-in-work were also discussed during the meeting.
