Giving a thumbs-up to the policy of having more and more electric vehicles running on UP streets, CM Yogi Adityanath yesterday said that promoting the use of electric vehicles in place of petrol and diesel ones would be one of the focal areas of Uttar Pradesh Investors Summit to be held in Lucknow on February 21-22.
The CM spoke about the appearance of smog during winter months and said that increasing use of fossil fuels. He said that the use of electric vehicles would not just address the problem of air pollution it will also save the huge cost towards import of oil that the country has to pay every year. The CM also launched 5 electric vehicles manufactured by Mahindra company. He also pointed out that the technology for electric vehicles would have to be improved for their large scale adoption.
