A meeting of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Jai Ram Thakur with the officers of Himachal Cadre posted in Government of India in various Ministries was held at the Residence of J.P. Nadda Union Health Minister at New Delhi today.
J.P. Nadda stressed upon good coordination between officers working in the state and Centre in the best interests of the state. He hailed the officers of Himachal Pradesh for their efficient services and hoped that they would continue to serve the state as well as centre in future also in same way.
The Chief Minister urged the officers to play pro-active role in speeding up projects and proposals sent by state government to Centre in their respective ministries so that pace of development could be faster. He said that officers are the backbone of any government and play significant role in preparing policies and programmes as well as accelerating implementation of development activities at ground level.
Jai Ram Thakur said that it was a matter of pride for Himachal Pradesh that so many efficient officers were working in Government of India and representing the state. He asked them to watch the interests of the state and play effective role in the growth of the state. He said that state government was employee friendly and committed to protect their interests while recognizing their valuable services.
Chief Secretary, Vineet Chawdhary thanked the Union Minister and the Chief Minister and assured that every effort would be made to implement Government policies in letter and spirit and welfare of the people of the State would be the priority. Additional Chief Secretary and Resident Commissioner, Anil Khachi, senior officers of Himachal Pradesh posted in Government of India were present on the occasion.
