Former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav was today sentenced to 3.5 years in jail in a second case related to fodder scam by a special CBI court. A fine of Rs 5 lakh was also imposed on him. The verdict can be appealed and Lalu’s son Tejasvi Yadav said that they will appeal against the verdict in a higher court while saying that he had full regard for the judiciary. The sentence to Lalu was hands out through video conferencing.
Earlier, Lalu had spught leser permission owing to health ground through his lawyer, who said he had been facing a host of health issues.
