Municipal Commissioner of Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam, Chandra Prakash Singh today took part in the ‘special cleanliness drive’ in Mohan Nagar wards. This drive is conducted every Wednesday under Swachh Bharat Mission. The drive was conducted under directions of the Municipal Commissioner in 2 ‘Adarsh’ Wards namely Shyam Park Ext. and Lajpat Nagar IInd.

The Zonal Incharges of Mohan Nagar/ Vasundhara, Sanitation Inspectors of Mohan Nagar/ Vasundhara and other officials extended their cooperation the aforesaid drive.

The Municipal Commissioner expressed displeasure at Zonal Incharge, SK Gautam, Sanitation Inspector Sanjeev Kumarand Kayumeedin, who were reprimanded by him for not maintaining cleanliness on main roads, intersections, green belts, dividers, among others. They were also directed to clear these areas of encroachments.

Apart from this, Chandra Prakash Singh also gave directions to officials to take steps to decorate with plants, the area falling near Shahdara Border—on the lines of UP Border. The Municipal Commissioner also gave instructions to beautify the area between border and Mohan Nagar Intersection by keeping big-size flowerpots on dividers intersecting the roads.  

Finally today, the Municipal Commissioner visited Ramchameli Chaddha PG College in Mereut Road Industrial Area and interacted with the management, faculty and students of the college and spoke about the Swachh Bharat Mission, besides assisting them in downloading the Swachhata App. He exhorted the gathering to do their part in making the city clean and in helping others do so.
