Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam or Municipal Corporation recently carried out rebuilding of roads of Sector 17 in Vasundhara after a long gap of several years. The work was undertaken across all blocks of Sector 17. The Municipal Corporation has given a tender for Rs 1.20 cr to the contractor, it was apprised by the Chief Engineer, RK Mittal to delhincrnews.in earlier (read http://delhincrnews.in/2017/11/08/welcome-step-municipal-corporation-rebuilds-all-roads-of-vasundhara-sec-17-after-a-long-gap/).
However, some stretches (like the one shown in pic above) such as one in Sector 17 D Block and one in E Block of the same society, were left un-carpeted as the contractor claimed he could not get his machines and equipment in and thus it was informed that the contractor would put up tiles on these stretches within the stipulated cost.
About 2 days back, work on this stretch began, however after just some hours of work the work had been left unfinished by the contractor and all labour had vanished from the site. This is causing grave inconvenience to lots of residents who had to park their vehicles away from their homes as the car parking area has construction material and tiles spread all over. Inquiry revealed that the labour force suddenly left the site and there is no sign of the contractor either. The residents are asking the Municipal Corporation to intervene in the matter at the earliest.
