A team of police officials of Police Station Uttam Nagar of Dwarka District has solved a case of robbery and recovered a country made pistol.
On Nov. 29, one Akash, resident of Uttam Nagar reported that he was celebrating his birthday party in the parking on the ground floor of his house along with his friends. At about 5.40 pm, three persons barged in, one of them was brandishing pistol. They threatened all to handover their cash/belongings to them. The complainant along with some of his friends handover their money to the accused persons. But one of them refused to oblige and a scuffle ensued. During the scuffle, one of culprits fired one round. However, no one was injured. Thereafter, the culprits fled away from the spot on their scooty. On this a case under Arms Act was registered and investigation was taken up.
A team comprising ASI Sita Ram, Constable Pramod Kumar and Constable Satbir Singh, under supervision of Inspector KP Malik, SHO/ Uttam Nagar and over all supervision of RK Ojha, ACP/Dabri was constituted to arrest the accused persons. The team work relentlessly and gathered information about the culprits and all the three accused persons were arrested within a short period of time. One country made pistol was also recovered from the possession of accused Shiva Tyagi alias Shanky. A separate case under Arms Act has been registered in PS Uttam Nagar against accused Shiva Tyagi alias Shanky.
