The Ghaziabad Police have claimed to have worked out the armed loot at a doctor’s residence cum clinic in Vasundhara locality under Indirapuram Thana that took place on November 28. This was revealed today at a press conference of top brass of police including, SSP Hari Narayan Singh, SP City, Akash Tomar and Circle Officer Indirapuram, Rakesh Kumar Mishra.
In this regard the cops have rounded up 5 accused persons, namely Gaurav Thakur alias Sonu alias Doctor, Yogendra Pal alias Satte alias Pavva alias Chotu; Sonu; Deepak alias amit alias apple and Ballu alias Balveer Singh.
All the 5 accused were arrested from near Kapoor Farm House near Kanavani Pushta. While making good their escape the accused had taken away the CCTV footage with them to escape identification.
Recovery of valuable items & cash
The police have recovered 2.60 lakhs in cash; 2 pistols with 14 cartridges; 2 country-made pistols with 8 cartridges; one knife; 8 silver coins; one Ginni (yellow metal); a watch; one Apple iPhone; 4 silver glasses; 2 bikes (used in crime); and, a bag.
All the 5 are history-sheeters with around 22 cases registered against them at various police stations, namely Indirapuram, Sihani Gate, Vijay Nagar, Khurja (Bulandshahar), Muzzafarnagar, among others.
Involvement in several dacoities
The gang had carried out several sensational crimes in NCR like loot of rs 23 lakh from a cattle trader in Bulanshahar in 2016; dacoity in Mirapur in Muzzafarnagar in 2014; in th same year armed loot in TP Nagar, Meerut and dacoity in Jaipur, Rajasthan in 2006.
According to SP City the ‘accused were identified and traced with the help of CCTV footage and bikes used in the crime’.
