One of the long pending projects of Ghaziabad the Indirapuram 400 KV sub station was yesterday inaugurated with much fanfare by Union MoS, (Retd) Gen VK Singh and Power Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shrikant Sharma. Also inaugurated was another 400 KV sub station at Ator Village along Meerut Road and 11 KV rural feeder monitoring system. On the occasion, the Union Minister said that development works have picked up pace after the establishment of the present regime.

Notably, the Indirapuram power sub station was hanging fire since long and it was to be made operational somewhere in June after having missed several deadlines. 

VK Singh also praised the UP Govt for providing smooth electric supply to the state denizens. The DM Ghaziabad, Ritu Maheshwari said that this was a historical moment for Ghaziabad residents as it had become the first district in the state to have started the Urja Mitra Yojana and te feeder monitoring system. Senior officials of Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd (PVVNL) were also present on the occasion.
